In these works, perception leaves the plane and becomes embodied. Three-dimensionality introduces weight, volume, and presence, transforming color into matter and space into an active part of the work. Some pieces incorporate aerocromatic surfaces that respond to light and the movement of the viewer; others are sustained by contained chromatic fields—planes, gradients, blacks, and silvers—where form and material density take center stage.
